The National
Civic League advocates a new civic agenda to create communities
that work for everyone. Founded in 1894 by Theodore Roosevelt
and other turn-of-the-century progressives, NCL vigorously promotes
the principles of collaborative problem solving and consensus-based
decision making through technical assistance, training, publishing,
research and an awards program.
